2. Compare and contrast chemical crystalline sedimentary rocks and crystalline igneous rocks
Answer:
Crystalline rock, any rock composed entirely of crystallized minerals without glassy matter.
Explanation:
Intrusive igneous rocks—those that congeal at depth—are virtually always crystalline, whereas extrusive igneous rocks, or volcanic rocks, may be partly to entirely glassy

11. Why Filipino spirit is waterproof?
Explanation:
THE WATERPROOF FILIPINO SPIRIT
Posted by Anna November 11, 2013
In light of recent events and the calamity our country, the Philippines, is facing, I’ll be skipping my usual blog posts for this one.
Watching the news and seeing the massive destruction caused by super typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) just breaks my heart. I can’t even imagine how painful and devastating it must be for those who lost their homes and loved ones. My heart goes out to the parents who lost a child, to the people who have nothing to eat nor drink, to the babies and kids who are now getting sick.
A few months back during Habagat’s wrath, I posted this on Instagram and I thought I’d share this today on the blog as I find it very fitting in these trying times.aahon tayo pilipinas
Habagat 2013 is nothing compared to the Filipino spirit. Come hell or high water, trust that the Filipinos will rise above any adversity. It is during these kinds of trials that the Filipino spirit shines the brightest. I pray that everyone who were affected by the recent calamity will stay strong and not lose hope and that those fortunate enough will find it in their hearts to help in their own little way. Aahon tayo. Kaya natin to! #bangonpinas #prayforthephilippines #maring #habagat #pinas #filipino
I’ve always believed that everything happens for a reason and that there is always a lesson to be learned. Here in Manila, we were fortunate enough to experience minimal rain despite Yolanda being dubbed as one of the worst typhoons ever. For that, it taught me to be more appreciative of what we have and to give and share whatever we can to our less fortunate fellowmen. We may not have much but what we have is still something compared to them who were left with nothing.
Answer:
The Filipino spirit is waterproof due to geographical necessity and government failure. Rigoberto Tiglao’s recent article in this paper, “Nations must confront the curse of typhoons,” published on November 9, 2013, quoted a Jesuit missionary writing in 1668 on the impact of the Philippine storms. F. I. Alzina wrote: “This type of hurricane is a very strong tempest, so many and so strong hitting these islands that neither Virgil nor Ovid nor any other poet I have read can describe its destructive power. These occur very often and we suffer so much, that even after experiencing them, it is difficult to believe these can happen.”

13. a kind of varnish that is not waterproof?
There are several things that affect non-waterproof varnishes, namely the lack of solvent used, contaminated finishing materials, application in too cold air temperatures, application of a coating layer before the layer underneath is completely dry, application of a heavier or unsuitable type of coating, or the use of thinner which dries too quickly. The solution is very easy, namely to check first whether the old paint layer has completely dried before applying the new coating.
The character of the finishing material used will also greatly affect this excessive application. The presence of excessive problems in finishing will cause damage after the initial finishing. Due to the dry period that should be obtained after one night, because the paint layer is too thick, it is very easy to get scratches and even fingerprints. Understanding the character of the finishing materials used, such as when applying water-based paint, must be very thin, which is very different from finishing materials from solvents which are usually applied very thickly in one swipe.
Varnish materials for wood such as paint, varnish and also wood stain will give the wood an appearance. It also provides protection to the wood surface and also provides a clean appearance. Many people only know that the appearance of the surface is of utmost importance when choosing a finishing material for wood. Although many problems can arise from the finishing results, the main problem is not only because of the finishing materials used. As has been explained, problems can arise due to weather factors and the type of wood used.

16. layer of cells on leaves that is waterproof
A plant cuticle is a protecting film covering the epidermis of leaves, young shoots and other aerial plant organs without periderm. This cuticle helps seal in the water, making the leaves virtually waterproof. It consists of lipid and hydrocarbon polymers impregnated with wax, and is synthesized exclusively by the epidermal cells.

Good morning^_^
Answer:
In crystallography, crystal structure is a description of the ordered arrangement of atoms, ions or molecules in a crystalline material.
Explanation:
BASISThe crystal structure is formed by associating every lattice point with an assembly of atoms or molecules or ions, which are identical in composition, arrangement and orientation, is called as the basis. The atomic arrangement in a crystal is called crystal structure. ... Thus lattice + basis = crystal structure.
PØINTSLattice points: Point in a crystal with specific arrangement of atoms, reproduced many times in the crystal The translational part of the repetitions in the crystal is given by the lattice vectors. Choose a point within the repeated unit cell. It can be any point.

18. what is waterproof feathers
Answer:
Birds pick up oil on their beaks, by rubbing against the uropygial or preen gland near the tail, and then rub it over their feathers. This coating insulates the interlocking barbules in the feather. As water cannot penetrate through the oil coating, the feather is waterproof.

24. 3. Why lipids are "waterproof"?
Answer:
Lipids are non-polar molecules, so they are not soluble in polar solvents like water. If you've ever tried to combine oil and water, you've seen how poorly they mix. This feature of lipids allows our bodies to use them as waterproof barriers and as biological membranes.
